USA Today (May, 17, 2019) — Nashville: Women in the state who are financially responsible for their families’ economic well-being face several obstacles to gaining economic security that often start with hurdles during pregnancy, according to a study by ThinkTennessee and A Better Balance. The “State of Our State: Women in the Workforce” report emphasized the need for paid leave, workplace pregnancy accommodations, access to affordable and quality child care, and other policies to retain mothers in the workforce.
