Dr. Alex Jahangir is a professor of orthopedic surgery and an orthopedic trauma surgeon at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He serves as an associate chief of staff at Vanderbilt University Hospital and as the director for the Division of Orthopaedic Trauma at VUMC.

A Nashville native, Alex is a co-founder of the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute Center for Health Policy and the author of over 90 publications. He has lectured throughout the country on health policy, as well as the delivery and business of healthcare. He currently serves on the board of the Adventure Science Center and is the chair of the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Health.
