Internship Program


Dedicated to promoting pragmatic public policy that moves our state forward, ThinkTennessee is currently seeking undergraduate, graduate and law students to join our growing team.

About ThinkTennessee

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank, ThinkTennessee brings leaders together from across the state who believe that facts matter and that moderate, pragmatic voices should play a prominent role in shaping public policy. Our work blends top-notch research and policy analysis with a drive to get this information into the hands of policymakers, the media, nonprofit organizations and citizens.

Internship Program

ThinkTennessee interns will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with our staff and board of directors, as well as other prominent thought leaders, on legal, communications, fundraising and public-policy work.

Applicants should have excellent research and writing skills, a demonstrated interest in public policy, nonprofit management, communications and/or fundraising and a willingness to work independently on a variety of tasks. Please note your primary area(s) of interest when applying.

All positions are unpaid, but ThinkTennessee will support interns’ efforts to obtain academic credit or outside funding.

Position open to: Undergraduate, graduate and law students

Length and location: Interns will work from ThinkTennessee’s main office in downtown Nashville, and may choose either a part-time or full-time schedule (a six hour minimum per week is required).
